Home Learning 4th May 2020

We’re going to pretend that Sunny came to Liverpool! Can you plan out his day? Create a timetable for Sunny. Think about how we got here, where he stayed, what he had for breakfast, where he went etc. For each idea, think about what Sunny could see, hear, smell and feel.

Pretend to be Sunny and write a postcard home. You did something similar last week, so try to write this one on your own using the plan from yesterday. Good luck!

Can you go through the postcard that you wrote yesterday with an adult checking your spelling, punctuation and grammar? Did you include adjectives? Conjunctions? A question? An exclamation? If you didn’t, can you improve your postcard by adding one in?

Next week, we are going to rewrite Meerkat Mail! But, we are going to change one thing… the meerkats! Spend today choosing an animal to replace Sunny in your own story. If it was my story, I’d be doing ‘Elephant Mail’ because I LOVE elephants! Create a character profile for your animal. Give them a name, a personality and think of what they like and dislike. Remember those adjectives for describing! I've put the link for Word Hippo, an online thesaurus below.

VE Day- check out our VE day resources or celebrate your own way at home!
