We would like to welcome all of our families to St William of York Catholic Primary school we are really looking forward to working with your child over the course of the year!
The children all look very smart in their new uniforms and have settled very quickly into full time school! We have had so much fun during our first few days!
General Information
Please ensure that all your child’s belongings (even shoes) are clearly named!
Over the course of the year we will hold the following information meetings:
A general information meeting – September 18th 2018
A reading and phonics information evening-October
Termly Parents evenings. If you have any questions or need to pass on any information,
staff will always be available to talk to parents in the mornings and at the end of the school day.
Parent’s as partners
Working Together has a positive impact on your child’s learning and development. Every half term we will send home an information sheet that we ask you to complete and return to school. We then use your information to plan experiences that reflect your child’s interests.
PE days - will be Wednesday and Friday mornings and all children will require a clearly named PE Kit after October half term.
Lending Library - All children will be encouraged to develop a love of stories and books. They will have the opportunity to choose 1 book at a time to share with you at home. Each book must be returned before another one is chosen.
Homework – All children will bring home an interactive activity and a homework book every Wednesday starting from October. Homework is to be returned to school on Mondays.
