Welcome to our Year 2 class page!


Welcome to our Year 2 class page! We hope you and your families are well and we hope you are enjoying Year 2!  We have been so proud of all of our new year 2 children and how well they have settled in after the Christmas break- thank you for your support at home. 


We will be using this webpage to communicate important information and messages so please check in regularly. We will communicate personal messages after school when you pick your child up or via telephone call. If you have any messages you would like to pass on to our Year 2 team, please don't hesitate to ring the school office.

We will open our classroom door at 8.40am each morning ready for registration at 8.55am and school finishing time is 3.15pm. Please ensure the office have up to date contact numbers and inform a member of staff if someone new will be collecting your child.  We also ask that you have patience with us while we get to know all of your faces at home time.


Things that your child needs to bring into school daily:

    • Book bag and reading book– needed for reading books, letters etc.
    • Healthy snack – your child can bring a healthy snack for break time.  We also have fruit delivered daily to school that is available.
    • Water bottle – please can the water bottle be named – we do have water available in school if your child forgets their bottle.
    • Lunch box - if not having a free school packed lunch.
    • Uniform – please ensure all items of uniform are clearly named, including coats and shoes.



    PE will take place every Monday afternoon. Children should come into school that day dressed in their full school PE kit:

    • School PE top and school jumper 
    • Purple school shorts or black leggings/joggers
    • Black pumps
    • Football or leisure wear are not permitted
    • No earrings please



    Homework will be given out every Friday (maths/spellings and reading) to be completed and returned to school by the following Thursday. Homework is an important aspect of our children's learning and we appreciate your continued support at home.
