Remote Learning

We hope you're all managing to access Google Classroom, it has been lovely to see so many of you in our Google Meets and completing the set work.

Your home-school days for next week will begin at 9:15 am with our daily Google Meet.  During this meeting, we will explain the day's work and answer any questions you may have.

You should work throughout the day, at your own pace, until no later than 3:15 pm.  Make sure that you have had a full lunchtime and regular breaks.

We will be here to answer any questions during school hours.

Spring Term 2021

We hope you all had a safe and peaceful Christmas and wish you all the very best for 2021.

Although it's not quite the start of term that we were hoping for, remote learning will begin on Thursday 7th January, using Google Classroom as our platform. Just to remind you, all login details are in the home-learning exercise books which were sent home last term.

A little treat from the children who wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas...

Hello Year 3 smiley

I hope you are all keeping well at home. I know we didn't expect to be off so soon again but I just want to say a big well done to everyone so far. It has been lovely getting to know you all and I am very impressed with how well you have adapted to Year 3 and how hard you have all worked. Whilst we are off school for this short period of time, I will continue to upload daily activities to our class page which will be an extension of what we have been doing in class. However, there are home learning (paper) packs available at the school office for those that require them. These packs mainly consist of revision to help consolidate previous learning. You can choose to do the activities on the class page or those in the home learning packs. Either way, all learning will be revisited upon our return to the classroom.

Stay safe and hopefully see you all back at school soon.

Miss Fearon

A huge welcome to all our lovely Year 3 children!

They have settled into the juniors brilliantly and we are really enjoying getting to know them. The children have returned with lots of enthusiasm and are adopting well to all the new routines (as well as enjoying catching up with all their friends). I am confident we will have a great year!

Please keep checking our class page for regular updates and messages.

Your child will need:

  • A book bag - for reading books, letters and homework.
  • A water bottle.
  • A healthy snack (snacks are not provided in KS2).
  • A packed lunch (unless having a school lunch).
  • PE kit and pumps.

PE will take place every Wednesday afternoon (full kit and pumps needed). Please ensure all items of clothing are labelled with their names.

Under the current circumstances, we have decided to send the children's homework books home and they will remain at home. The children will be given a paper copy of their homework to complete every Friday. It is important that you support and monitor your child's homework to help consolidate what they have been learning in school. Homework will mirror what we are learning that week and will always be explained to children in advance. Every so often I will ask the children to bring their homework books into school to review their progress and assess if they require further support. The children will continue to have a weekly spelling test and spellings will be given out every Friday ready for the following week.

Reading books will be sent home on a Monday and returned to school on a Friday. All books will be isolated for 72 hours before going back into circulation. Please ensure your child is reading regularly throughout the week.
