Halle Day – Friday 2nd October 2020
As most of you will know, one of our pupils (Halle Fletcher) very sadly passed away around 16 months ago. Halle was a lovely, warm, kind and caring young lady. She was popular with everyone in our school community and is still greatly missed by everyone here.
To honour her memory last year we held the first ever Halle Day, the event being held on Friday the 4th October which would have been her birthday. The day consisted of a variety of Health and Well- Being activities for all the children with a number of external clubs/organisations i.e. Everton Football Club, kindly came in free of charge to support the day. Families were asked to make a donation which we then passed onto a charity nominated by the Fletcher family.
This year we will be celebrating Halle Day on Friday 2nd October which is the nearest Friday to her birthday. Children can come to school in their own clothes, preferably leisure wear, and will be undertaking a variety of activities within class aimed at supporting their own Health and Well-Being. Unfortunately due to the current situation we aren’t able to work with other outside groups this time, however the teachers will be planning a variety of activities in order to ensure an enjoyable day.
Therefore, as like last year, we will be asking families for a small donation which we will give again to a charity nominated by the Fletcher family.
We will also be carrying out some other fundraising activities in Halle`s name later on this term so will share details nearer the time.
