Catholic Life
Together Everyone Achieves More.
To go forward in Christ, to respect our neighbour and to always give our best.
At St William of York, the Catholic life of our school is rooted in the Gospel values of honesty, compassion, forgiveness, justice and peace. These guide everything we do for our children and their families. Our mission comes to life when we see pupils grow in confidence, develop a strong sense of self-worth and show a genuine love of learning.
We support our children by placing Christ at the centre of school life and helping them deepen their understanding of the faith through both the Come and See programme and the To Know You More Clearly Religious Education Directory. We nurture independent, curious learners in an environment filled with joy, respect and challenge; preparing them to flourish in an ever-changing world.
We work in partnership with families, the parish and the wider community, promoting the dignity and uniqueness of every person. Through this, pupils learn to value others, celebrate diversity and live out British Values in the spirit of social justice and global awareness.
We encourage all children to give their best by offering a broad and balanced curriculum, enriching experiences beyond the classroom and a caring, dedicated staff team. By fostering each child’s gifts and supporting their spiritual and personal growth, we help them thrive, achieve their potential and move forward in Christ with confidence and hope.
