Halle Day
Lesson: Learning Outside the Classroom
Each year, our school community comes together to celebrate Halle Day in memory of our former pupil, Halle Fletcher, who sadly passed away in 2019 when she was in Y3 here at St William of York. Halle was a lovely, kind, and popular member of our school, and she remains dearly missed by all of us.
To honour her memory, we hold a special Health and Wellbeing Day every year on or near her birthday (4th October). This day is a wonderful opportunity for the children to focus on their physical and mental wellbeing while remembering Halle in a positive and active way.
This year, Halle Day took place on Friday 2nd October. Throughout the day, the children took part in a range of fun, healthy, and engaging activities. We were delighted to be joined by a variety of external partners, including Liverpool FC in the Community, Everton in the Community, Kids Kabs, Eddie our counsellor and Active Sefton. We also had a vist from Shy Lowen Stables, the opportunity to meet close up and number of differenr animals/reptiles and an inflatable obstacle course.
